SCEPTL V4 (final version) - Self-Contained Extended Play Tape Loop with intro/reload tutorial video

from Stony Brook

Version 4 of the SCEPTL is here! With this design I have been able to surpass 3 minutes on standard playback speed with the added room. What makes v4 differ from v3 is that the deflector arm has been integrated into the roller arm, allowing more room for tape and the tape guide being so close to the roller makes reloading so much easier than v3. The 3-d printed wheel has been replaced with a smooth as butter roller with bearings making playback cleaner than ever. I have also moved the tensioner arm to allow further room for tape. Every purchase will also come with a new informational video and an updated reload tutorial showing you how to reload the SCEPTL from either a pre-recorded donor tape or from a pre-made tape loop, it is the video for v3 but the same principles apply, its just much easier with v4.

I highly encourage you to share your art with me once you have received and recorded onto a SCEPTL, please tag me or send clips directly to @stonybrooktapes on instagram, I want to stay connected with this community!

Note: Not recommended for beginners, a thorough understanding of tapes and how players function is recommended, may not work on every player.
